The bump, Part 2

Well, it has been forever since I have posted. Here are some updates on da bump.

 Whoa.
 25 weeks

 27 weeks
 28 weeks
 30 weeks
32 weeks

Our little sleepy guy!

It was at around 31 weeks that I really stopped sleeping and just tossed and turned every night. My belly is so big that when I sleep on my side the weight of my belly pulls on my rib cage. I have to sleep with 4 pillows and if Doug thought he had no room in the bed at night, now he really doesn't.

Some of the PROS of being prego:
  • The baby had hiccups this morning and I loved it.
  • I can feel the baby move every day. They are starting to get stronger and more violent.
  • Sometimes people give up their seat on the train. If they don't, I just rub my belly in their face and hope they feel guilty.
  • People at the gym encourage me to keep going and say things like, "you are almost done!" when all I want to do it sit down and eat something.
  • My hair and nails are so long and strong. Never has my hair been this thick. I will miss it after the baby is born. Then I will have to chop my hair off because stringy thin hair doesn't look good long.
  • Everyone is so generous and wants to give you their baby things. We have great friends who have offered tons of their stuff. I even had a stranger at work give me a baby bath and bouncer. I hope to pay it forward to a young married couple some day who have their first child. It helps and means a lot.
  • Sometimes Doug will make dinner, rub my feet or back, and does his best to listen to me complain about my day.
Some of the CONS of being prego:

  • Heartburn like you wouldn't believe. I get so hungry all the time, but if i eat anything remotely processed or unhealthy, I am dying 30 minutes after. So I guess a pro is that pregnancy has forced me to eat better.
  • back and feet pain. The worst. I can't express enough how much my feet hurt. My chest has...grown... and my back can't take the heavy load.
  • Doug calls me tubby all the time. I know he is just joking, but in all reality, my thighs have so much cellulite now, it is startling.
  • I still have to wear glasses because my contacts don't fit. I hope after I have this baby my eyes will go back to normal.
  • I don't sleep, at all. That is the hardest part for me. I work full time, walk a mile to and a mile from work, go to the gym after work, cook dinner, pick up Doug from school every night, and by the end of the day, I am so tired I could throw up, but my body just won't let it happen. Thank goodness for weekends. Naps are a necessity on Saturday and Sundays.

Only 8 more weeks until our baby Robinson is home. We are so excited, and so scared at the same time. It is going to be an adventure!

  1. You look AMAZING! I would've killed to look like you when I was pregnant. Everyone is right... it's almost over and then for some strange reason you will wish you were still pregnant so you could feel those little feet in your ribs! :) I can't wait to meet Baby Robinson! Working on his gift. Wish I could hug you and touch that round belly of yours, but I will admire via blog!
